I'd hazard a guess of no on Photrio. Is there any reason to believe that this emulsion has any longer a life than MGIV? Certainly not one of Ilford's claims and if it has longer archival life then I would have thought that Ilford might have included that in its announcement.Does anyone know the current expectations for archival life of this generation of RC papers?
what?this product is so irrelevant that no one saw it coming
The US Postal service standard for postcards is up to and including 4" x 6", which is why I print mine that size - pre-Covid I would save a significant amount of money by mailing my US and other non-Canadian destination cards through the USPS (I live 13 blocks from a border crossing).here's probably 2 million US size post card easels out there, 3 1/2" × 5 1/2 " , (well a million in the US on Ebay ).
Yeah, everything's changed. I love the vintage contact print Azo postcards. When I was in my 20's a buddy and I cut up 11 X14 Azo, into 8, 3 1/2 × 5 1/2 cards, he had a small letter press and he printed the backs. He had people buy the cards. The US Postal service standard for postcards is up to and including 4" x 6", which is why I print mine that size - pre-Covid I would save a significant amount of money by mailing my US and other non-Canadian destination cards through the USPS (I live 13 blocks from a border crossing).
I print three 4"x6" cards on to an 8"x10" sheet - one single card on a 4"x8" portion, and two cards on a 6"x8" portion.
The Canada Post office standard is larger, so I can, if I wish, send up to a 6"x8" card (approximately), bot the postage is over 80 cents CDN - same as a letter.

I'm pretty sure I still have at least 100 sheets of this paper too. It has aged so it's time for a bit of benzotriazole in the developer... gotta reduce a bit of that age induced paper fog.I just had a session last night printing on the old Postcard paper, but am really looking forward to this new edition. Hopefully we'll have it here in Japan sooner rather than later.
It doesn't seem to available from any main dealers here in the UK yet, in fact where they all listed the old portfolio it has been out of stock for so long that most of thgem don't even list the MG4 portfolio, so 3 days after this big launch not around anywhereI just had a session last night printing on the old Postcard paper, but am really looking forward to this new edition. Saw that late this afternoon, but not yet available, only advance orders, and the price makes it just about, in some cases more expensive than the FB classic, at that price I would rather get Classic,
Richard
