An Introduction to the Large Format Camera
Sat. Feb. 23 or Sat. Apr. 12 or Sat. June 14

Ever wonder why some photographers still use those old-fashioned field cameras with the cloth pulled over their head?
It's not just that they are hiding from the world.
It's because they enjoy it.
Pure, simple photography.

This is a hands on beginner workshop for photographers who are already experienced with digital, 35 mm or medium-format cameras, and want to try the large format field camera.

This day-long workshop will include discussions on the various cameras available, camera movements, depth of field, and the skills needed to work with a large format camera and film. The workshop includes hands-on personal instruction in how to use the camera, photographing the landscape and local architecture with the goal of becoming comfortable starting out with the 4x5.

This is a hands-on workshop for those who want to learn the basics of shooting with large format.
