Has any one ever tried mounting a digital camera to take a photograph of the viewing screen of a large format camera. Could you get a very fine ground glass screen, and just snap it, to get at least part of that ''large format look''

what is the ''large format look''? high resolution? perspective control? flatness of field? extension? IMHO most of the few advantages of LF will be lost as soon as you snap the digital shutter. in LF the film is in front of the ground glass screen, your talking about the backside of the screen where the contrast will be lower, your exposure time will be even longer than it would be if shooting film, and the grain and noise will be higher. but what the *, give it a try
