Marketing hyperbole aside in a way the sunglasses camera is a return of sorts for Polaroid considering that the Polar in the name is due to the Polaroid polarized sunglasses.

And digital aside, getting people interested in prints, instant prints is not a bad thing. I think the print is getting lost as an idea when you can just show people the pictures on your iPad... until it dies and loses all your pictures anyway.

Thermal paper certainly isn't new but hasn't been common for a while so ZINK is a return of sorts as well.

can you see through the glasses as it is filming ?
it must be kind of strange not being able
to see anything, but second visuals ...

I had assumed the signature Lady Gaga camera would have been made out of meat. Sunglasses are a real disappointment. :pouty:

I'd principally run away from anything marketed by the gaga machine as fast as possible.

But Polaroid already had a Zink printer and a Zink Printer + Camera combination... it was called Pogo. It came out years and years ago, how is that a revolution? I'm highly disappointed.

the complexity of printing an image from a phone bah! what happened to just press click and out pops the photo. i much prefer the camera but yuk a zinc printer.

It would be quicker, more marketable and more profitable to simply bring back Polaroid 600 packs.

Stupid Polaroid.

Coudn't have said it better.

They were bringing back 600, apparently - link.
That was last year's CES, a year ago now and nothing else has been mentioned.

Polaroid (erhm the empty shell of a company that just used the Polaroid name) has stated multiple times they have no plans to ever produce film again. Hence the Polaroid (Fuji) 300.

The camera announced last year, according to The Impossible Project was supposed to be released with PX600 film. The film however was not up to the standards that Polaroid wanted so the idea was shelved and eventually discarded all together.
