Provincial and/or national print competitions - mostly for amateur photographers.
Under the auspices of the Canadian Association for Photographic Art - CAPA:

More than half of the entries are sent in by individual clubs, rather than individual photographers.
Our Darkroom Group is a member, and the competitions we have run are technically "affiliated" with CAPA, but they are essentially run under CAPA rules.
The competition days are great fun - a wide range of prints and print qualities, a wide range of enthusiastic and interested photographers, and an enjoyable social event as well. Some people do more than send in prints. They travel to attend personally as well.
We haven't run one since COVID hit in earnest. Its a lot of work, but it is very satisfying, not least because it supports people actually printing their work.
Most participants use digital, but there are a few film stalwarts, as well as a few darkroom printers.
