Would you prefer using a lab box even though you have a perfectly fine darkroom setup?

On the now 3rd child, I'm just not finding much time to develop film. We've been kicking around in rentals since moving to Athens GA while our house is being built. I'll have a darkroom again (of sorts, I'll set up in a utility room as before). I've stopped keeping chemicals that don't keep an insanely long time (like rodinal or old style hc-110). Curious about the lab-box more and more. Even when I get the darkroom set back up, would it be something I would enjoy using? Do any you who are well versed in darkroom ways find yourself using it instead of the old style tanks?

Just trying to make life a bit easier where I can.

I didn't vote, because I think tanks are fine, but yours is not a stupid question!
I have been working for years with temporary darkroom setups. And I've got it down to a fairly fine art in terms of space.
All my film developing stuff fits into two plastic bins - one for the chemicals and one for the tanks, reels and related equipment, including the rotary agitator.

haha well I WILL have a small darkroom setup again... eventually when the house is done. I'm just suddenly drawn to this lab-box. It just looks so easy.

PhotoBob also has one and has demonstrated its use to our Darkroom Group.

I develop black & white myself but since I would need 16 rolls for the Unicolor 1 liter C-41 kit and I do not want to print every frame myself in my darkroom, I send color negative film out.

Good Luck KING!
It is not easy finding time or a place to convert your latent images into negatives. I hope you find peace, and discover a place and time to do it.
