Thanks. Excellent article & video, typical of Guardian.

Especially significant during this holiday.

I'm forwarding this to my girlfriend's daughter...now finishing her second broadcast film having to do with trauma. The first, a three year Native American project, runs on PBS. The second, about to be released, has to do with "illegal immigrants" from South America and SE Asia. .

I watched it the other day, available for rent on Vimeo.com
Was interesting.
Hes shooting with two 6x17's, an Xpan, and some manual slr I couldnt make out.

Awesome.!
This is the worlds longest running War Crime. I am happy to see Magnum throwing some light on this horror.
..... go Joe.!

What do you guys think about his style details on this gallery?

Do you think he’s using a yellow filter?

Is he pulling the film 1 stop in development?

Would love to hear your thoughts.

I’m racking my brain how this master would approach his style preferences in a project like this.

In 2013 (5 years after Holy Land), he abandoned the Fuji for a Leica S specially modified for him to shoot 6:17 format.

Josef Koudelka was a good friend of HCB and he is a fabulously talented photographer. Probably one of the best in the world at the present time.
