I managed to pick up a Konica III this last weekend. It looks pretty clean and functions, though the shutter appears to be pretty sticky. It opens and closes but not at all at the shutter speed it is set to. Any suggestions on where to get a CLA done on it? I read in threads that are about 10 years old now (I think) that people were suggesting a guy by the name of Greg Weber, in Fremont, NE, which is about an hour from where I live. But those are the only references I've seen of the guy and didn't know if he was still recommended or not.

Greg did my Konica IIIa rangefinder some years ago, and more recently CLA’d a Konica Auto Reflex for me. Quality service, IMHO. I don’t know of any other repairer who knows Konica gear like Greg.

Thanks. Nebraska is one of those places where everyone knows everyone and I haven't seen any mention of him in local photography groups. I'll give him a call one of these days when the weather decides to be spring rather than winter.

There are two other places within a 2.5 hour drive that do camera repair. Greg would be the closest of the three.

Greg's website (www.webercamera.com) is still up and it's best to call him first regarding repairs.

My last contact with Greg was his replacement of an Autoreflex T2 meter in 2016; since he was in his mid-60s at the time, I asked how long he would be doing repairs. He didn't have a time to "retire" and said he has trained his son to do repairs.

He rebuilt the shutter on my Konica III in 2013 and I highly recommend him.

Thanks. I saw his website and he didn't respond to an email I had sent so I was kind of wondering if he was still actively doing the work. This is helpful. It's been a busy week and I haven't had a chance to give him a call.
