This is great. I have the same problem with the camera, and had to replace the button so many times actually. But, I am not sure if I am qualified as a person who is skilled in the art of repairing cameras. Though it would be great if one can take care of his/her own equipment this much.

I still need to fix my 7x17 Korona...

Thanks; Since I'm not in the business of repairing people's cameras, I can't offer this repair to people, so I just documented the problem and published online. I heard from people and also read on several online forums and MANY individidual weblogs by those who suffer this problem. They also say that Greg Weber run out of parts for Hexar switches. I sent a note to Greg Weber and I don't mind if he can perform this repair service professionally.

Coming to think of it, cleaning the affected switch is probably a better approach, considering the little wear of the actual parts but the contact can be contaminated due to non-sealed and non self-cleaning contacts of the switch. If you take the part from junker camera, then you may have some time of service but I bet you'll get the same problem very soon.

What I heard from many people is that they are refused to repair their Hexar due to lack of parts. Here I figured out that cleaning of the affected part is effective. If anyone got refused repair of their Hexar for this particular problem, feel free to send a link to my page to the repair tech. It should be a matter of one hour of labor or so to get it done.
