Just picked up a 4x5 kit including a Komura SW 90mm f6.3 wide angle lens and I can't seem to locate any info on it vis-a-vis coverage etc. Anybody out there familiar with this one??

I am at work now, so I can't check all the details. But I had one of these once, and played with it for a little while. It was not a bad lens it covered 4x5 pretty well and had an image circle of about 210mm. It was sharp and fairly contrasty. When I get home tonight I will try to find the data sheet I have on it.

Sorry its not much, but I hope it helps.

Komura made a fairly large line of Large Format Lenses. I have a 75mm that is very nice on 4x5 for a very wide angle view, and I also have the 400mm and 500mm Telephoto lenses. I have used the 500mm Telephoto on 5x7 with some image fall off. These are good lenses.

I have a Komura 210mm F6.3 lens, it's very sharp and has a good contrast. It's a little light and smaller than the F5.6 lens, so, ever time I go hiking, I will take this one instead of my caltar IIN.

I think the Komura 90mm lens should also be a good performer.

Sorry to barge in on the thread, but Phototone is the first person I have heard with a Komura 400T.

I have one of these in a Copal 3 shutter and haven't been able to find any information on this brand, where, if anywhere, can I find information?

Mick.

Ps:- I use it for 4x5 on a Shen Hao

Many thanks to both of you for the Komura link.

Quite interesting to note that they produced a 152 f2.8 for the 4x5 camera.

Seems that they were on the right track to make waves, but somehow didn't pull it off.

Mick.
