Kodak z manuals - no more?

It seems the Kodak website links to the Z manuals no longer work, and the only support number or email that is available is for Kodak inkjet printers. Telephone support says no other products or support exists anymore. Of course there are some other products listed on the site that are still made but some may be Kodak Alaris. I guess I have the z manuals already but does anyone know of some link that works?

you will see a note near the bottom that says: "

Thanks, I asked Dominick and he said they were kicked off the Kodak website so they are going to post them on the Kodak Alaris site soon.

Also, check the wayback machine (archive.org) if you have a direct URL to a PDF that is no longer working.

Just kidding, I'm pretty sure I have hard copies and PDFs. But in all seriousness this stuff is gold. It is stunning to me that the powers that be did not step in to save Polaroid and some other technologies that are lost. I don't know this Dominic fellow but we better hope nothing happens to him.

After looking at several vendor sites I finally got copies of Fuji Hunt E-6 Kit and bulk machine chemistry data sheets. I'm not even all that big on color but I want to have the ability to develop C-41, E-6, RA-4. JUST BECAUSE I WANT TO. It's not about what is cheaper it's just something I cherish. And I don't want to use some quick 2 step simplified process.

What are Z manuals?

The Kodak Z manuals are essentially the master processing instructions for various processes. For example, Z-131 is for the C-41 (color negative) process. It would tell you the times and temperatures for each solution, plus recommended replenishment rates for different films. Then how to measure performance and troubleshoot using process control strips.

If you wanted to start a processing lab, the Z manuals would be just about essential. On the other hand, you probably wouldn't have any need if you wanted to just buy someone's chemical kit, then process a roll or two at a time in a hand tank.

This must have happened in the last couple of days. Less than a week ago, I was able to download Z-131. Now I wish I had snagged the rest of the bunch!

The PDF for the machine chemistry is (mistakenly) on Freestyle.biz in the US. If you look on the listing for the 5L kit ($199) There is a Tech PDF but it's the whole processing manual for replenishment etc.

It looks to me that the 5 L kit could be used to much greater capacity if you would follow the instructions for replenishment. It looks like each roll "consumes" 72 mL of Developer. I use a Jobo so I will use Developers one shot, However if I use the 1500 series tanks it looks like I can in theory get over 50 rolls of 120/135-36 rather than 40 out of 5 liters. For me that's a heck of a lot of film. I will probably divide the concentrates into small bottles so I end up with 5 1L batches. In theory if each roll uses 72 mL of developer that's 69 rolls per 5L.
