Well, if they are doing the replacements in reverse order of size, that may be a good sign.
First the large dealers, then the medium dealers, then the small dealers and large volume individuals...

I've received my replacement XTol today. It was sent from Windsor Colorado, too. On the package it states: 'Made in USA for Sino Promise Limited'.

I'm still waiting. Not that it matters anymore - I've moved on to other (mostly home-made) developers.

Well, I finally received the replacement Xtol yesterday, a mere 3 months later than the date promised, and 11 months after I originally bought the product. The packages of D-76 and Dektol from bad batches I reported were NOT replaced. I will enjoy these last packages of Xtol, but after this public relations fiasco, I'm not touching "Kodak" chemistry again.

I ordered some Kunze Slide accessories from Foto Brenner a few weeks ago. Saw that they have Xtol and thought it is the new stuff. Well, it is the old, bad batch. Sent an email to them and received no reply.

Should I try my luck with Sino Promise? I did order two 5L packs of the new (for real) Xtol from Foto Impex, yesterday. The Kodak stuff, not Adox. I want to be sure that I can run a replenished system. Should be here by Friday.

I'm not sure about returning to Kodak branded chemistry for black and white. I have enough of the Tetenal, pre catastrophe, material to last 5 years. I'm not holding my breath on a replacement for my replacement.
Time will tell.
There's always other options.

From my understanding thus there never was a re-call of product by Kodak Alaris from the dealers. Or was there?

My original request for replacement of some XTOL with a bad lot number was sent to Sino Promise back in early January. Today I received my replacement 5 liter kit from Sino Promise. Like the others, mine was shipped from Windsor, CO (USA) and says "Made in USA for Sino Promise, Limited"

I had really given up all hope of ever getting the bad XTOL replaced - so, it was a pleasant surprise. But perhaps not pleasant enough to completely get rid of the bad taste left by the whole recall experience.

Well, perhaps I'll eventually get replacements for my two bags. Meantime, I bought two 5L bags of Ecopro -- works the same, including user-tested to self-replenish at the same rate. If Sino Promise coughs up what they promised, I'll have about a three year supply of film developer...

I just got my replacement in today. Happy to have some replacements. I bought a bag from freestyle in the meantime, though, and I'll be switching to adox xt once I'm through with this

The bags look similar to the ones being shipped from Freestyle with foil instead of plastic. I've mixed one up, and I'm using it without issues
