Kodak XTOL Replenish vs One shot

I have used X-tol replenished for several years with good result and also tried XT-3 at 1+1 dilution, also with good result. Does anyone know if XT-3 is so similar to X-tol that you can replenish an old X-tol solution with new XT-3 solution ?

I don't know, but you could always be the brave one and try. I would not risk screwing up my gallon of working XT-3R by trying, but feel free K-G.

Should be noted that some sort of control negative is a good idea for replenished systems. I never used one, never any trouble. I've used one shot for many years now.

The safe advice would probably to discard the Xtol solution and start fresh, but if like me you'd rather not and want to experiment, it is definitely possible to replenish XTOL with XT-3.

Don't discard the working solution. Just use it up one shot, without replenishment

That's a very good alternative use for it Matt. I hate wasting anything being Dutch is sometimes good and sometimes not so good.
