Want to Buy Kodak Wratten #44A (minus red) Filter

My 44A has been around the block a few times! It's worn out from 30 years of use. Time for a replacement. But do you think I can find one?? If anyone out there has one, preferably 3x3 inch in good condition (not scratched all the heck up like mine!), and no longer needs it, I may be interested... Thanks!

At $200 for a 4x4" Wratten filter it is incumbent upon me to suggest alternatives. However, the lowest cost alternative is from Filter Finder at $15 for a 3x3" gel. That said ...

The Rosco filter swatch book suggests a #76 "Light Green Blue" as an equivalent. There is also the #73 "Peacock Blue" as an alternative.

The Rosco #76 & #73 are $8 a 20x24" sheet at B&H, unfortunately they are special order and you have to buy five gels. So, that's $40 + S&H. OTOH, you do get 240 3x3" filters from that $40 order - certainly a lifetime supply and only 17 cents each. You can try to offload the surplus on PhoTrio, LFF or ebay.

A better idea may be to get a Roscolux 3x6" swatch book for ~$55 - all the filters you could ever want and a whole lot of filters you will never need, a true wretched excess.

The League for Optical Purity will rant and rend their clothes at these suggestions. My retentiveness-of-the-nether-regions is beyond the standards of the LfOP: I worked at Gooch & Housego (https://gandh.com/products/precision-optics) and like to inspect the corners of 20x24" prints made from 35mm negatives with a 10x loupe. I have not found the optical properties of Rosco gels to be lacking.
