Guys,

A fresh pink roll of tmax that I keep out in the sun suddenly sees its film leader become gray. I have to pull the leader out to see some more pink. After a few more minutes its become gray.

Morale of the story? It has nothing to do with fixing.

You know more about Kodak film that Ron?
You are unable to read Kodak's data sheet?

Normal fixing. Normal washing. Pink negative. Had this in 1994.

I revisited those negs this year, 21 years later. Still pink, still intact. Still prints beautifully.

What did I miss and how can Ron help me?

If you would have been able to get on the interweb in 1994 you could have talked to Ron on APuG and learned all about it.

That's what you missed! :D

Back then there was a 1.800.46.KODAK hotline. The knowledgeable folks answered everything. So far, by looking at some of my PINK negatives, it seems that they were right.

I still have that number written on a piece of scratch paper under my plastic desktop cover.

Only took a week to get a real hard copy of the spec sheet for a film via snail mail.

Sigh...the good old days.
