Kodak Signet 35 Camera. Very early model 1950

I found a mint condition working Kodak Signet 35 Camera and was looking at the serial number on the Ektar lens and it's serial number starts RY which dates it at 1950. From all my research these cameras began production in 1951 and I have not seen another with a lens starting with RY
Is this one of the first Kodak signet 35 cameras ever made?
It is amazing as it looks pristine inside and out and the shutter works flawlessly.
Anyone out there with any more info. Thanks
