So I used the kodak scanning app and a light pad. Its really straight foward and easy... but here is my question.

I know theres alot of nuances and subtles that can take place with actually making prints. Does the scanner app give somewhat realistic results to how a darkroom print would look?

Is that some kind app that runs on a phone or ? If you are using your phone as a scanner, then I would think the phone's sensor and lens whould be considered as well as the software?

What, exactly, are you scanning?

Yup, its a phone app.
Scanning some black and white film, as well as ortho lith film.
