Any suggestions, please?
Thank you Paul, this is also what some of my research has turned up as well. I am planning to run a roll of film through it in the future, and I will see how bad the damage is then.
Hi Bill, thank you for the offer, but this is the Schneider-Kreuznach 2.8/50mm lens.
Romanko, I have not tried hydrogen peroxide yet. Will do so shortly. Thank you. I have tried alcohol, ammonia solution, and industrial glass cleaner, as well as good old fashioned Dawn and warm water. If all else fails, I MAY try some brake cleaner on a q-tip (being mindful of what I touch of course), and see what happens. I have another Retina IIIc type 21 that is in much better condition. This Retina was an antique store find, but for thirty bucks for a full kit, I couldn't go wrong even if the lens is a loss.
