In case you are serious, it was his name that the slang term came from,

The Wikipedia article about him disputes that, says the word “crap” already existed before him coming up with the flushing toilet.

Whatever the story is, it’s funny as hell!

Just thought I'd check in on Ektachrome.

I think I just stepped in something...

Yes, I am very eager to hear about Ektachrome finally hitting stores and all... but, in the meantime, all we have to say is crap. :D

It took John Crapper until the 19th century to invent a flushing toilet again.
he never invented the flusing toilet he just had a very successful plumbing business and americans in england around ww1 saw his plaque everywhere
it was just good advertising.

what he did invent was the swan neck UNDER toilet bowl to keep the foul stench "out"
AND
the made improvements to the ballcock/shuttlecock ( float ) ...

but HE NEVER INVENTED the flushing toilet...
that was invented by someone else a few hundred years earlier ( 1500s )
and improved upon in the 1700s and mid 1800s by other people but not crapper.

Without Thomas Crappers inventions we would all "have nothing to go on".

A very nice history lesson... and a refreshing break from the juvenile humor... and in some instances... humour. I had no idea that you were a toilet scholar in addition to your other skills/knowledges!

It's where people go to post selfies and follow influencers*

*Actually there's some pretty good photographers on Instagram, and an active film community

I just check out this Instagram. It's laughable. A joke. You are right. Selfies everywhere. A place for narcissistic folks it seems.
