Advances in circuitry, changes to packaging would suggest a new model could or would be introduced after 13 years. the fact there have been no changes leave you with the impression that Nikon isn't going to put R&D into a new model. The F-6 is the longest running model with the exception of the F-3.It feels like while new DSLRs are released with more megapixels and stratospheric ISO, the technology of autofocus, metering, and shutters aren't really more advanced on new cameras than an F6.
The FM10 is also not "made by Fisher Price." Chinon I think? Who have a history of making affordable and completely competent and functional cameras.
Sorry, it is made by Casio. Source:The FM10 is also not "made by Fisher Price." Chinon I think?
Many things. What exactly would you want changed?
Velvia 100 in 220 format was discontinued a couple of years ago in a major cull of low-volume emulsions. If you come across any now it is aged/legacy stock.
Lots of negative posts here....why people?
Because humans inhabit this forum, not robots.
That makes no sense.Because humans inhabit this forum, not robots.
I go to other forums or social media commentary and people are almost unanimously really excited and positive about this announcement.
Here, it gets picked apart.

Perhaps you are better off spending your time there then.
Its always been picked apart by serious Kodachrome users.

I'm very positive and excited by the introduction of Ektachrome.
The rest of my posts, if you took the time to read through the pages of this thread, you would see the reason for them.
As for APUG, the difference with other forums is that here there is a greater percentage of hardcore, well-experienced film users and a smaller percentage of beginners or occasional film users. Couple this with the fact that the moderation team gives us freedom to express freely what we really think, and you'll find also criticism where there are things to criticize.
We're all doomed
Eventually the sun will expand enough to engulf this planet. So yes we are doomed.yeah, that is what i thought you said ...
I started transferring a couple of thousand old slides from carousels to archival slide pages this morning, and the first four I pulled out were Ektachromes from 1976. Completely faded - little color except brown. Fortunately, the fifth one, and the ones thereafter, were Kodachomes, and they were vibrant and looked like new. I'm sure Ektachome improved over the years; hopefully it will be fade resistant when reintroduced.
