I just bought a Panoram and the shutter assembly seems to work fine. I'd like to run some 120 film through it but of course I need to modify it a bit. I read something about making a small film plate for the smaller film and using standard 120 spools. Does anyone know how I should go about this? Or someone to get in touch with that might know?
Thanks.
Dave

Though I've seen it done, I would recommend looking for a #1 panoram, which will work with 120 film. They made a lot of them, and I see them on ebay all the time. I've shot with my 1D, and just had to sand the ends of the spools to make it work. I think the earlier models had a different spool set up and might work better with 120. I'm guessing 620 film would work even better. If you can find someone to cut 4" film just for the camera, let people know on apug. I might be interested in a roll or two. I have a bunch of al vistas and a couple of #4 panorams. I recently got a 5" al vista 5B that had a bunch of cardboard and sheet metal glued in to shoot 120, as well as a few brass adapters for the spools. I tore it all out and am going to use 5" aerial film. I'll look around and see if I have the brass pieces around.
