No real explanation, accompanying the picture. Is this a lab to which the consumer can send his 35 still films for processing or is it simply a movie film processing lab for the film industry? It sounds like the latter. In which case I am unsure what beneficial effect this will have on 35 and 120 film for consumers

Given that some movie makers have been returning to occasional use of film recently ("Dunkirk" on 65/70mm, etc.), that the Pinewood Group also own other studios (Shepperton, etc.) and that they are currently engaged in a major expansion of the studios and facilities, I can see the logic of an on-site lab.

Good news, but I doubt that it's of any direct relevance to we consumers of still film. (Wonder if it actually is Kodak themselves operating it, or just another licensing of the name and logo?)

The more ECN (and ECP?) labs the better.

Film is film. The healthier the market is in mp film or still film the more likely we are to have product. I was very concerned when theaters went digital as movie print film was I believe by far the largest use of photographic film at the time.

No, they won't be developing your 120 Ektar at Pinewood. Just like everywhere else in the film world, motion picture film labs have closed. A "boutique" concept has sprung up for mp camera negative processing, since physical prints are no longer being made in most of the world.
