Hi,

This question is probably a long shot but with all the knowledge here I might get lucky..
Although the No. 4 Kodak Cartridge camera was mostly a 4x5 roll film cameras it also came with a 4x5 plate back.
Does anyone here know if that back can take a standard Graflex, Kodak Fidelity holder or are the needed holders specific to the No. 4 Cartridge Camera?
Thank you all very much.

Hello Robert: yes the plate back does take standard 4x5 holders. Do you have the ground glass insert that fits into the spot where the holders go ?. If you do, just remove the panel at the back of the plate back and that gives you access to the ground glass for focusing then either put the panel back or insert the film holder and expose.

Hi Doug,
You just made a big smile appear on my face. :D
I was not looking forward to hunting down special holders and then film inserts etc as the time and cost will start adding up. The pictures that I had seen of the original holders looked like they had a very thin "flap end" so I was starting to get sad.
The camera is on its way here so I'll try it out sometime soon.
Have to ever made pictures using the 'modern" holders?
I found a ground glass focus insert that has stamped in the wood 9x12 so its probably for an export to Europe model but it will do for now.
Thank you for your help - really.
