Sold Kodak No. 3-A Autographic Model C, Giant negatives!

Hi folks, this is a giant “pocket” folder. It is a circa 1914 No. 3-A Autographic Model C with leather case. It has new bellows installed. This is a very large folding camera that originally used 122 film with a negative size of 3.25x5.5 inches! Leatherette is in remarkable shape for its age with just a few scuff marks here and there. The metal parts are in good shape with some oxidation on some parts but everything functions as it should. Viewfinder is clear with some dust on the mirror. The lens is a Bausch and Lomb Rapid Rectilinear that is in good shape and scratch free. The shutter works on all speeds but I can’t verify accuracy. The aperture lever seems to be decoupled from the aperture blades as moving the lever does nothing and it stays wide open. Surprisingly this camera has a bit of rise/fall on the front standard. One take up spool is included. The leather case is fragile and I would only use it as display. This is a wonderful camera that someone should use their imagination to put back into service as adapters are available for modern film. Great panoramic on 120 or perhaps adapt for wet plate? Postcard format -- so called because the negatives would contact print to a (then) standard postcard. Ilford sold print paper in that size with address lines on the back into this century. Paper negatives would be the easy work-around for the obsolete film format.
