I recently bought the Fuji GW690 II and I prefer it over my Medalist. I wish I could keep this and just display in my small collection but I know so many others would like to own one of these and would use it. It's in great condition except for a tiny crack in the view finder glass that I didn't even notice until many weeks after I bought it and it doesn't interfere with the viewing. The other problem is that the film advance doesn't fully cock the shutter so I manually cock it with the shutter lever. The film advances properly and the spacing is good but when you press the shutter release it only closes the aperture and not the shutter. I think it's just an adjustment but I didn't think it was worth the money to have it repaired since it doesn't stop me from using the camera. If anyone needs more clarification on the shutter cocking let me know. The focus is smooth and the lens is clean and clear. The shutter speeds are close when tested with a cell phone app. It come with two metal 620 spools to re-spool 120 film. Although for the last couple of rolls I modified 120 spools in about 5-10 minutes that worked great and maybe easier than re-spooling.
The last picture is in b&w just because it looks great in b&w because of the table I took the pictures on was not the right surface color.

It certainly is a beautiful and desirable camera. Wish I could justify getting it; just too many MF cameras in my collection getting little use!

modified 120 spools in about 5-10 minutes that worked great and maybe easier than re-spooling.

Can u give details of the modification to 120 spools if you don't mind? Apologies if this is a digression.

I snip the ring with a nail clipper and lay a piece of rough sand paper on a flat surface and hold the spool vertically with the end flat and with a circular motion just sand it down on both ends and check it by inserting the roll and make sure it rolls without too much drag. Also sand the high spots from the nail clipping. It takes maybe 5-10 minutes at most. I do have a 620 take up spool so I only have to do the film., but you could easily make one from 120 spool.

It takes 2 minutes to respool a roll of 120 onto a 620 spool. Its hardly an obstacle.

I know I've done it but I don't have to think about the tape having to be repositioned due to a too tight a wrap and I don't shoot that many to be concerned with time.
