Kodak Medalist II

Has anyone removed the covers on a Medalist? If I advance the film and press the shutter release I can hear the click but the blades don't open so I have to manually cock the shutter after advancing the film. My guess is there might be a bent lever that does not allow full throw to cock the shutter.

Mine did the same thing. Sent to Mike Zacks for a complete CLA. He does great work.

You may also want to make sure you are pressing the shutter release THE WHOLE WAY. The travel is very long considering the camera has no meter to trap. The first click releases the double exposure lock. You need to go a ways further to release the shutter.
