I really appreciate the quality of images the Medalist delivers, but I have a hard time taking people seriously when they refer to it as a "beautiful" camera.

Remember, beauty is in the eyes of the beholder! Still, the Medalist cameras are my all-time favorite cameras.

If the Kodak 35 is steampunk (it does look that way and I do have one that takes great pics) then calling a Medalist one is an error - it is a nuclear-reactorpunk (and I do have one and it takes superb pics). Kids have no appreciation for real artistic design like Art Deco - they are all out shooting their stick of chewing gum phones.

What a weird article - praising a camera without ever having it in your hands?

I recently got a Kodak Chevron, which took the Medalist one step further - not sure what you'd call it after "nuclear-reactorpunk" ... ; )
