Zacks Camera Repair services the Medalist. Cost is approximately $225-$275 and turnaround is about 3-4 weeks.

I second a vote for Zacks. Did great work on mine.

They didn't do a very good job on my Canon VT. It came back with the slow speeds still not working right, and when I contacted them about this he said "Well the previous owner probably didn't use them enough". When I questioned this ("huh, what does that have to do with this camera not working right?") his second reply was "Well some cameras you have to use everyday for the slow speeds to work". Clearly he had no interest in making this right and none of my other canon cameras, many of which have never been serviced, behave this way. I can't recommend folks who don't stand behind their work. They might do great work on a Metalist but they sure didn't know how to repair my Canon VT.

There is a listing in the classifieds for one converted to 120. If he says this involves a complete tear down, so he should be able to do a CLA.

The conversion seems like a lot of trouble to just avoid respooling 120 film.
