Hello all

I have a kodak HIE infrared expired from July. Is it ok if I use it now or is it very sensitive and is now useless? (note: I have it in the fridge since March)

IMHO, the best way to find out is to shoot with it and see! It will probably be fine, otherwise you may come up with an interesting image, who knows?!

Best wishes,
Sanjay

I'm sure it's fine. I have a stock of HIE expired in 2004. I keep it in a deep freeze in my cellar. So far no fogging at all.

I am still using film from the last batch of 4x5 and no problem yet! :D

I have some pretty ruined HIE in 4x5, but it's 10 or 15 years expired, was handled by multiple people and exposed to who knows what before I got it, and still gives me some nice images (though sometimes they are ruined by black spots. As a rule, if I care about it, I shoot it twice with this film).

If yours is just a couple months out of date it's probably fine.
