Browsing unique photo’s website today I noticed some Kodak RA4 papers in stock that I’ve never used.
Has anyone tried Endura canvas? Printing my medium format negs to endura première glossy was a life changing experience, I buy it by the 11” glossy roll and cut by hand for fine art use, along with metallic which I don’t use much.
Well I’m thrilled it was introduced in 2015, how did I miss that? That’s right around when I learned to print RA.
That also seem to sell the Edge papers, which I have heard are close to being as good as Endura in colors but on a flimsy paper designed for quick and dirty machine processing. I haven’t used this, but I’ve talked to photographers who have, and everyone choose the more expensive endura premiere for their best work. Last I heard the only ra papers existed were endura, edge, Fuji, and their rebranded knockoffs...
Now I see there is this Royal paper as well!
Anyone used any of these? Is it just me or have the options expanded? Anything suitable for lower contrast printing? Finally, I’m looking for a matte paper, suggestions?

Never used the canvas type but I have seen prints on it. It has a nice texture that might work well with portraits. I alwaia wanted to give metallic a try, how do you find it?

@Berri it's pretty cool, especially when you have metallic subjects, like cars or skyscrapers. I tried it on portraits, too, and it has those awesome Endura colors, but doesn't fit my cultural expectation of a portrait.

I bought a 288' roll of 8" metallic (EDIT: expired 6/2012), I cut up maybe 30 sheets of 8x10, and only used a handful. I'd be happy to mail you a sample if you're curious. PM me your address and I'll figure shipping cost. Unlike the roll, I haven't stored it in the refrigerator, but it seems to be pretty resilient. YMMV.

I would love to try some, I will get in touch with you when I'll be home after Christmas! Thanks!
