Just stumbled onto Photo Warehouse Ultrafine website, and they have all kinds of film-friendly products, including their own Kodak Double-X 100' rolls. Interesting to say the least.

Anybody dealt with them or used this film?

Thanks for your thoughts.

I haven't used their double-x bulk rolls, but they're legit. Their Ultrafine Extreme films are well liked by some people (I liked the 100).

I've not used that particular film, but have patronized the company - I have had good experiences with them.

Kodak will be happy to sell you Double X in 400 or 1000 ft rolls. Photo warehouse and FFP both spool that down in 100 ft rolls for the convenience of still Photographers.

EASTMAN DOUBLE-X Negative Film 5222 / DXN718 / 35 mm x 400 ft roll / On Core / BH-1866 Cataloge 1737279
EASTMAN DOUBLE-X Negative Film 5222 / DXN718 / 35 mm x 1000 ft roll / On Core / BH-1866 cataloge 1982511

(BH1866 is the normal Movie perforations that all of this stock comes with)

I buy my 5222-XX from FPP. 100' rolls. Very nice look, reminiscent of Tri-X from the 1970's. I shot a roll last week.

I have not bought a long roll of Double X, just bought a roll of Finesse 100, I quite like it and it's about 1/2 the price of Double X and it is available in either ISO 100 or 400. My testing pegged 100 at 200. Ultrafine extream has been out of stock for quite a while.

Hi Dan
PW/Ultrafine are a sponsor of this website
they have been around for decades and are great to deal with.
I've never used that particular film, but have bought a ton of paper from PW over the years.

Good Luck!
John

I also blame them for having an etsy cuz it fed my "need to shoot slide film" phase cuz Ive bought more expired slide film from them than I initially wanted

Thanks for all the replies. I did place an order for some metal, reloadable, film cassettes. As I have a good stock of film in the freezer just now, going hold of on the Double X, but will try it at some point in the future.

Cheers...
