That sounds like the best possible bit of news we could hear about such a thing- people who have a vested interest in keeping the products alive will now have ownership of those products.

It's nice to see Kodak getting its financial house in order, but I'm still not sure what it all means. It looks like the professional films, movie films, and commercial imaging parts of the business will stick together, although we are not sure just how. Those are what affect advanced photographers most. But it looks like consumer films, kiosks, consumer services, small laboratory equipment and services, and whatever is in document imaging get spun off. How will that affect us? Will film and chemical availability become even more difficult for the small user?

Sorry, but this is incorrect.

The only film marketing that is staying with Eastman Kodak is the commercial movie film. Manufacture of all film is staying with Eastman Kodak. Colour paper is going as well.

Other than this, their entire business will be related to the high end commercial printing business they acquired when they bought Creo.
