This is the classic book that explains modern film photography in just 68-pages. It was written decades ago by Ralph Evans but the explanations and details apply to today’s film photography. It is an example of an author that really understands a subject can explain it simply. Evans has written several books on the subject. This is the simplest.
Light, color, psychophysics and how photography mimics the visual system is a very complex subject. This book explains it simply and succinctly. The intended audience is photographers. Evans headed Kodak’s Color Control Division. He is a true expert.
