bleach starter price seems crazy to me,

Fortunately, we don't really need a bleach starter in our usage; that's only needed for systems that replenish and/or regenerate the bleach. Most of us use it up and dispose of it.

But the real question is, is anyone offering that chemistry in consumer-friendly quantities (say, no bigger than "makes 10L") in the USA?

Good find, @Old Gregg -- hopefully they won't be telling us their web site was wrong on stock like Unique did. I'll wait to get shipping confirmation before canceling my order with Unique, anyway.

Seems to be available in several European and Australian web stores.
And as I've passed on before, Sino Promise has distributed notices to North American distributors and retailers indicating that they are having serious problems getting product shipped into North America.

It is probably sitting in one of the 80+ ships in the water outside of Los Angeles waiting to be unloaded in San Pedro or Long Beach harbors.

At Freestyle the Bellini kits are not yet listed.
Freestyle may be just acting as a distributor for some things, and not retailing them themselves.

Don't be reasonable. It's all about Greed, and Kodak's insane desire to price themselves out of existence with speculative price hike and product shortage information. Don't you read the internet?

And the last count was over 111, if I recall. But it was on the internet, so....

What did you smoke to post "It's all about Greed, and Kodak's insane desire to price themselves out of existence with speculative price hike and product shortage information."? Will you please send me a shipment of that stuff?

Just read the internet.

Or this forum.

Show proof that would hold up in court that Kodak it purposely pricing itself out of business. Instead of weeping about the increase in the cost of film, stop driving your car and you will really save money.

I'm sorry, Mr. Glass, but this report indicates your sarcasm detector has experienced a total failure.

You should return it to the nearest service center for a complete recalibration.

Every time there's a post about Kodak (or others) and problems with packaging, price increases, supply issues-- some yahoo always jumps up and claims it's all because of greed and runaway capitalism and stupidity-- and they're usually right about the last one. You were injecting some common sense into the conversation, something which is a scarce commodity on the internet these days.

Common sense is something that has been missing for several decades on the internet, but more recently in US politics.

There never has been any common sense on the internet. If you spend some time dealing w/ people who write code and program computers (warning: gross simplification alert) and you'll know why. Back in the far, far past I did some simple boolean programming for a company, and those programs had to be literal and make sense to work. if, and, or, but, then.....like that.

Now? Ha! You go to a website, and you have no idea how it's going to go. You're constantly having to relearn/re-remember things that make no logical sense. It's just how that individual decided to write the code, and if it sorta works, who cares? You could always call their 800 number, and wait until the world ends before they answer, so you grit your teeth and go back to the website again.

I just do not have time for all these wonderfully modern, time saving devices.

Writing software is in no way related to posting on line.

It was to be seen as in that vein, you know? A literal example of the lack of common sense not only of the internet but of the world we live in.

Interesting thought. Did they so in the past?.

The apperance of the stuff at the Bellini site is brandnew, I just assume that it has just not reached their warehouse yet. And in times like these Freestyle rather not list something prematurely.

I don't know.
But if you read through their site, and look at some other background information, it becomes clear that their store front and their distribution businesses are separate parts - they aren't running distribution out of the back of the store.
Perhaps they distribute mini-lab chemicals without an intention of putting them on the storefront site.

Thank You.
But as all other firms listed by Bellini as "distributors" are sole retailers to consumers, I rather expect Freestyle to retail their products. Well, in a few weeks we are wiser...

I always knew that you are smarter than the average bear.
I swear to God, I found a soda bottle that I had stored XTOL stock, it was 11 years old, I had to try it, worked fine, I extended the time by about 20%. I was dumbfounded. Shows what purified water and zero air can do.
I don't doubt people have problems with XTOL, I use RO water for all my solutions, water here is very hard.

That's an unbelievably long time!

I have always used zero air, but tap water, and I go through chemistry before it expires anyway so longevity of Xtol was never an issue for me. Aside from the two recent quality issues Xtol worked very well for me.
