Kodak Autographic circa ~1914

I didn't see a forum for antique cameras. Since this does shoot 120, I thought I would post it in here. I just wanted to show it off. My sister bought it for me for a birthday gift. It is still in nice working condition.

Wonderful camera, she looks to be in wonderful shape too! Does she need new seals? The right top section of the above photograph you took of the bridge has a bit of a mark of a leak? Reguardless, a fine photograph from a fine camera! Thanks for the share. Andy

That's the nicest example of a Kodak folder from that era that I think I've ever seen. Have fun with it.

An undated Kodak catalog from that era lists that camera and lens, but with a Kodamatic shutter, for $71. The camera with other lenses cost from $50 to $74. A velvet-lined leather case with strap cost $4. Six exposure film cost $.25. The least expensive Autographic Brownie cost $9, or $11 with a Rapid Rectilinear lens.

Thanks, everyone. I am sure it needs new seals. I get light leaks fairly often.

Not sure about the shutter a whole lot, but the lens says "Bausch and Lomb-Zeiss Tessar 90mm Patent Feb. 3, 1903"

A very nice specimen, for sure. You don't see a lot of cameras from that vintage in that condition. Most of them have sat too long in moldy attics.

They are very vulnerable to flare since the lens is uncoated and has no lens shade, this can sometimes give a similar effect to light leaks.
