Kodak Aerochrome film

Hi- I was wondering if anyone is shooting Aerochrome from this guy who cuts it down to 120.....Dead Link Removed think I am going to give some a try while it is still around. It seem like it would be really fun. I never tried the Infrared Ektachrome. Patrick

I use it. He is a very nice person to do business with. Remember to use a filter (typically yellow or orange), otherwise the image will be all "magentay." I rate it at EI 400 or 500 and use an orange filter (remembering to open up the proper amount of stops of light lost due to the filter factor). Store you film in a freezer and process in a prompt manner (preferably same or next day...I've noticed deterioration of image quality after 3 days from when it was shot, until processed, even when stored in a freezer).

Kodak has had lately at least three films with the designation `Aerochrome´ on offer and still has two.

The film this is about is "Aerochrome III IR 1443"

This film may be processed in KODAK FLEXICOLOR
Chemicals for Process C-41. To achieve results like Process
AN-6, use a development time of 3’45” at 92°F (33.3°C)
with a basic replenishment rate of 105 mL⁄ft2. Substitute
AN-6 Developer using a developer time of 3’00” at 90°F
(32.2°C) for increased productivity

Interesting...I'll remember this if I ever try this film.

Holy cow, I have a 125' roll of this at ISO125 that was given to my and I'm selling it. I don't know for how much so maybe I'll check this guys site.

To get the best help possible I recommend you start a new thread for your question. It would also be a good idea that when you start your new thread you include as much information as possible.

Some information to include might be:

1. Film batch and expiry (if known)
2. Film speed (ASA or DIN)
3. Camera/light meter ASA (or DIN) setting - if used
4. Correct processing or Cross processing

I hope I haven't come across nasty, I just want every one to have the best chance possible of their query being answered/replied to
