I'm sure Kodak can figure out its optimum sales and distribution model without our help here.
Besides, what makes you think direct film sales would result in lower prices to the buyer, or higher profits to Kodak? Film has a market price based on demand, regardless how it finds its way to market.
Evidently kodak has decided its distribution chain adds some kind of value, or else they'd do it themselves and simply charge what they do now---evidently the market will bear their pricing. Distribution and customer service cost money, regardless who does it. They can figure all this out without our assistance, I'm pretty sure.
All we have to do is buy the products, or not, and let the market sort out the details.
