This isn't likely going to be much of a thread, but maybe someone else might find it useful.
I'm working on two, semi-related research projects at the moment — one, an archival system for retired scholar film archives; the other, Kodachrome Toronto. While most of the reading materials I'm poring through relate to the systems-based approaches to photographic archival, I did pick up a couple of early books on Kodachrome, (there was a url link here which no longer exists) on APUG years ago.
That book, Kodachrome and how to Use It by Ivan Dmitri [1940], and another, Kodachrome and Kodacolor from All Angles by Fred Bond [1942] caught my attention for perhaps personal interest reasons. They also, however, hint with insight at historical approaches to and perceptions of using a new medium — which, for photography, could be viewed as a version x.5 upgrade to its black-and-white antecedent.
If I find other readings, I'll be happy to share them on this thread. If anyone else has books, early journals, or promotional matter known to libraries or public collections, jot them down here. It'll be useful for APUG archives and useful for my work in the near-term.
