Is there a digital application that will convert a colour image to how it would have looked if photographed on Kodachrome film?

I have not tried it, but DXO Film Pack has a setting for Kodachrome 25, Kodachrome 64 and Kodachrome 200. They offer a free trial so I guess you can judge for yourself.

I’ve used the On1 preset in Photo Raw for Kodachrome 64, and really like it. Presets can be edited also, if you want to tweak them. There are several other “film presets” built into it. You can buy On1 both as a standalone program or as a set of plugins for PS, Lightroom and a couple other editors. Also offer a free trial.

You can look for LUTs for Kodachrome, and use them in photo (Lightroom) or video (Davinci Resolve) editing software. There might be free ones out there.

However, they are at best remote approximation. Because the source file can be very different: it could be from digital camera, or from film scans. Thus it is very difficult to accurately map them into Kodachrome characteristics. You might need to tweak the LUT for your source file and your preference.
