Cute little rangefinder, with a Steinheil München Cassar-S f:2.8 in a Prontor-SVS. These were actually pretty nice at the time, aluminum construction so it weighs less than you expect, still feels solid. Cassar-S is just a coated triplet but I’ve had the M42 50mm version for many years and it’s one of my favorite normals. This one is a 45mm but should be very similar.
They actually sold a gold plated version in a presentation box, to tell you how proud they were of this model. Just regular nickel here though.
This one works, except the self timer starts and stops and the viewfinder is a little hazy. I won’t testify as to the accuracy of the shutter but it sounds good or slightly slow at one second, sounds good above that.
Really the only design problem with these is the viewfinder is pretty small even for the time, and the focusing action works the opposite way from most lenses. It seems like you have to advance the lever in one stroke to get the shutter to cock but I think that’s normal for this camera.
$35 plus shipping to CONUS. Would also trade for a turret viewfinder that fits on a Leica III.
