Hi,
I recently picked up a Kiev 88 for the first time and love it to bits however I've encountered an issue with the shutter where at 1/60th & 1/125th speeds the shutter curtain won't fully close after exposure:
giving this effect:
Unfortunately for me when I showed my negs to a Photography Technician at my University then muddled with the camera and adjusted the shutter whilst the camera wasn't cocked which then caused the same effect to happen at 1/125th speed which before wasn't an issue..... Great... Fortunately all the other speeds work perfectly fine, However as it's winter now in the UK there's often quite poor lighting conditions now and those 1/60th & 1/125th shutters are becoming a must..
I do love the Kiev to bits but it was a large investment on my part, is there anyway I can fix this issue and make it useable again on a budget?
Regards,
Charles.
