Is it possible to mount Kern Paillard C Mount lens on to 35mm camera ? How ?

Umut

Yes. Most c mount lenses were made for 16mm film or smaller formats so they won't be suitable for 35mm film. The flange/focal distance of these lenses normally puts the mount very close to the film so that won't be possible with an slr mirror in the way. That said, most anything is possible with the right adapters from ebay.

The short back focus of movie lenses makes their use on 35mm cameras difficult or impossible. Reverse mounting of movie lenses is useful in macro photography.

Thank you Bill and Jim.

Would it be possible with Barnack Copy ?

With the right adapter a C-mount lens can be made to focus to infinity on nearly any rangefinder camera with a focal plane shutter, but the lens still won't cover the 35 mm still frame. But if you're thinking of using an Ur-Leica (has a leaf shutter), no.

What do you have in mind to do? Spend a lot of money to use a lens you were given?

Dan ,

I have still 3000 frames to be shoot on bolex c8 , I am bored. Lens is really superior and I thought why I would not use with 35 mm film , scan is there , let me loose % 80 or so but I am after quality of the lens.

Does anyone knows adapter for fed 2 ?

Umut

I know this is APUG, but the Nikon 1, and. M43 is perfect for c mount.
