Just bought two sealed packs of Kentmere Bromide RC. Well out of date of course but only cost me £9.50 for two 100 sheet 10"x10" boxes - one G2 and the other G3 - so thought it was worth a go!

Does anyone know if the emulsion on the RC paper, manufactured Feb 2000, is the same as that on the FB Bromide paper that is still in production? Would be great if I could transfer over to the FB once I have used this first batch up.

Thanks,
Ian

It may well be to the same formula, but you will still need to produce test prints to make any speed adjustments required. Without looking at Kentmere's site I think they now only produce G2 papers now?

That's right Dave, only G2 available now, which is a shame but a sign of the times.

I was planning to try out a cold-toned paper, which I understand Kentmere Bromide is, so was hoping that these cheap boxes would let me make a big pile of prints, experiment with different toners, to see if I like the look before laying down money on new paper.
