I took advantage of the recent KEH 80% off of 'As-Is' accessories and picked up a Winder MX for my Pentax MX. Being handy with the screwdriver I hoped to possibly score a repair or at least have a parts unit as a donor for a future purchase. Received it today, cleaned the crud off of the exterior, cleaned the battery contacts and dropped in a set of AAs -- Voila! Working unit with EX cosmetics for $1.92 + shipping! Thanks, KEH!

It a way, it does make it tougher. You buy something for parts, then you can't use it for parts because it works, so you have to buy another one for the parts.... it's a vicious cycle I tell you!!!
