Buying used photo equipment is always associated with imponderables. Even if a seller is in good faith that they are describing their equipment correctly, errors and problems can go undetected.

For example, the accuracy of the exposure metering and shutter release, the adjustment of the aperture in a lens or the flange focal distance of a camera.

If you then use the device and discover problems, it is often too late to return it.

kamerastore.com in Finland relies on expertise and in-depth technical testing of its goods, including return conditions.

So far, I have only had the best experiences with buying. The prices are fair, the purchase process via the shop is quick and shipping is fast.

I am also a fan of the information on the website, for example on testing camera shutters. This is where you learn something as a DIY repairer 🙂

I've only bought one item, it was in good condition and arrived quickly

I have bought a few items from them and it has been an excellent experience.
I would highly recommend them.

I bought a filter from them some time ago and since then I'm on their email list. Whenever I take a look at the "what's new" part of their website I see prices they are charging must be some kind of bad joke. Easily the highest I've ever seen outside of the Ebay jokers. This is in post Brexit UK by the way. Huge no thanks from this part of the world. 👎

Old cameras need to be serviced. One either does it themselves, or pay someone to do it. In the case of Kamerastore, you are paying for a serviced, guarented and even warrantied camera.

For example they have a Nikon F Photomic, used but with no scratches, dings or brassing. Sold as "Restored" with a 12 month warranty. $459. Is anyone else providing that? Even "Mint+++ in Box" from Japan will need to be serviced before use.

Well honestly, I can see that source being great for people who need a camera fast that's guaranteed to work well.

However, if you want to spend a little more time, you can buy any old clunker on eBay and send it for a CLA and come out at about half price of what they are charging.

Their Mamiya 645 near $1000 with no lens is particularly egregious, last year I picked one up for $150 from Roberts Camera and all it needed was some light seals.

I searched worldwide for a Broncolor Frosted Dome for my Impact Monolight Strobes for over ten years! They had one, easy to buy and I'm delighted. Recommended.

It is a store, a business, and a well greased one.

Pays (european) salaries, (european) rent and (european) taxes. They have a repair shop like nobody else in Europe, and probably in the world, to verify and repair (when makes sense economically) photographic equipment. On top of that, you can return an item before 30 days without question asked, and have a 6 month guarantee for checked items or 12 months for repaired ones. Comparing them and their prices with eBay or craigslists-like sites is absurd. Their continuos grow since they started indicates that they were right and others wrong.

My whole experience with them is buying a filter and selling my complete and beloved Mamiya RZ67 equipment. Perfect service and excellent communication.

Can somebody explain what the wire net above tram's high voltage power line on 00:30 is used for?

I've purchased from them as well and I have had nothing but good dealings with them.
