I came across this Kallitype article whilst surfing tonight. I thought it was good in that it shows what the images should look like after exposure but before develop etc.
Thats the sort of thing I find helpful.

However there was a reference to polanegatives. What are polanegatives? I think this is probably a translation error.

Might be a reference to Polaroid positive/negative film. You got both a positive polaroid print as well as a negative.
