I had been away from photography for awhile and a lot of this is brand new to me.

As is obvious, there are a lot more "brands" on that linked list than manufacturers. For manufacturers there were Pentax, Chinon, Cosina, Zenit, Cimko (On the list)

Yes Ricoh made their own, until at least the XR-P.
