Aspan Panchro was made from Grieshaber, E. & Cie located in Brussel ,Belgium and Paris, France under the trade name ''As de trefle'' (Ace of clubs).

Hmm 1963 and a roll of film from France. Is this exposed film? If so it may be of pics taken of General de Gaulle's routes on which an assassination could be attempted

A brilliant record macfred. Reminds me of the same atmosphere but expressed less frenetically in Hotel California with a dark desert highway and the wind in your hair Way out and edgy

Grieshaber was a french manufacturer. In your listing Brussels is only stated as dependency. I do not know of any photochemical production in Brussels. But who knows, there had been so many small firms.

That's a good suggestion - that's how I usually do it when older films come into my hands.
Under certain circumstances, and if your negatives turn out well exposed and developed, you can get double the pleasure out of them.

Of course Charles, I kept all #116&127 and some interesting 120 backing papers. This is Art work by my colleague Djordje Odanović, from Belgrade, Serbia.
Another way to celebrate such triumph of industrial age as photographic film.

Seems it was common at some time. Out-of-business photographer storefront, picture taken in 2017 in Normandy with a plastic fantastic Pentax P&S, fixed shutter and aperture, but... AF and a 28mm lens!

Etablissements Graffe & Jougla, founded in 1884 by François Emile Graffe and Joseph Jougla, civil engineer, for the fabrication of dry gelatine plates after a purchased process. Trade mark As de Trèfle. In 1887 (?) effort to manufacture a flexible base, French patent 193.614, presented in 1890 and marketed subsequently. According to Coissac already at World Fair of 1889. Works at Perreux near Paris

In 1900 the company produced 45,000 plates a day, photographic paper and the photo camera Sinnox.

In 1907 colour film after the process by Ducos du Hauron

After Graffe’s death in 1900 Jougla continues with a new enterprise at Joinville-le-Pont.

Partnership Macaire & Durand, directed by Gustave M., engineer in chemistry, and Marie-Louise Blanc, widow Durand

Then: Association Française pour la Fabrication de Pellicules Vièrges Positives pour Cinématographes, Inc., founded June 10, 1909 at Carpentras, Provence

In since the beginnings chemist Charles Seghers

By April 11, 1911 fusion to Union Photographique Industrielle, Etablissements Lumière et Jougla réunis

Great that such storefront still is preserved. Meanwhile we are running out of such old advertizing as above those shopwindows.
Or those murals on gable facades. (I only know one case where such mural was costly restord, though the firm long time ago vanished.)
