how much space would a system like this take up? I'll look into the CPA2 or CPP2, I definitely want to do 4x5's eventually

CPP2+ with the lift is 39" L x 14.5" W x 21" H or 99cm L x 37cm W x 53.4cm H.

After going through several Unicolor kits I tried a couple of films in a Rondinax recently - it worked perfectly and rather easier than three inversions every thirty seconds. I had my son motorise an older Rondinax so I'll have to dig that out and see how it goes....

Clear?

My Jobo reels are white. And I prefer them over the Patterson's. I find the ratchet thing on the pattersons hard to load. For the Jobo's I angle trim the leading corners of the film with snub nosed scissors in my changing bag, and simply push them in. I put my index and middle finger of my left and on the film against the reel where it loads in, and push the film in with the right hand when the left hand is released. Grip with left hand, pull with right to free up more film, release with left, push with right. I can load a reel of 35mm in about 5 seconds. 120 in about 10. When loading 2 120s, I load it in as far as I can like above, then simply find the tail edge of the film and push it around until it stops, snap in the red thing, and do the next one.

BTW how do you keep 120 film from curling up when drying? The labs return it ultra flat! Mine hang, and start curling up and look like a garden hose.

Are you using film clips on both ends? 120 really needs to have some weight hanging off it to dry flat.
