Tough choice on the last MSA Barbara Ann. My turn next.

I don't think this has been done before as an MSA.

Signage - road signs, advertising, graffiti, the boss's door, or what-have-you.

Enter early, enter often. I know we could get lots of exciting entries. I'll scan and post a couple to get things going. Have fun and happy summer!

Well, I don't have a camera with me, but I'm on a visit to our UK office and just in front of me there is a sign on the warehouse door saying "GOODSIN". Oxymoron? Devil's playground? Who knows ... :D

This sign sits outside an old railroad depot in Salina, KS. Its Union Pacific property on the other side of this sign.

Shop window in Cambridge. And I thought it was supposed to be one of the foremost universities in the UK. Good job this was black and white film, otherwise it could have come out any colour. :D

Terminal 3 at Heathrow airport. Presumably the only legal way to drive through is if you have a pre-booked London radio taxi. Eh?

Pete, Thanks for your great entries.

If you are thinking of entering one, don't wait for the last second. I'll be getting on an airplane on the 31st and willl be picking the winner just before I go. If you've got a shot in the camera get it developed! You could have the winner.

Well, I've been looking over the entries. Thanks to everyone who entered. I've been looking at them frequently over the summer, and have often changed my mind about my favorite.

Drumroll.......Today my favorite is Ken Nadvornick's "Old Stuff". It's a lovely shot, lots of signs, great detail, nostalgic. Love it all around. So you're the winner Ken, and will be choosing and judging the November/December MSA.

Pete H was a close second ... partly because I couldn't pick a favorite among his numerous entries.

Barbara Ann and Bertus had strong entries, as they always do.
Matt, enjoyed yours as well - we've got those sharp dock ramps here too, but no signs about the swans.
I quite liked Brad's "Where in the Well..."
Thanks to skyrick and uncle Bill for the neon signs. There were a good few colour entries this time.

A honorable mention goes to joelr... for his petroglyphs - very, very old signage.

Now it is over to Bertus for the next round. I won't be able to particiapate. I'll be travelling, taking lots of photos, but my computer time will be limited, and I don't expect to have access to a scanner. I keep a watch on what you're all doing anyway.

Thanks for the generous pick 'sly'. And thanks to everyone for their excellent submissions. I very much enjoy following the entries each time around. Thought it might be a good time to jump in with one of my own.

I never cease to be amazed at the depth and breadth of interpretations that each topic can generate. I'll do my best to come up with a good 'thinker' in a couple of months for November/December.

Congrats, Ken! Well done, lovely photo.
Looking forward to the next one and hoping work will leave me enough time to participate a bit more often: it's been absolute madness, the last two months...
